Cooperative Program

As an active part of the Southern Baptist Convention, Sublette Southern Baptist Church gives 5% of its undesignated receipts to the Cooperative Program (CP) and another 5% to the work of the Western Kansas Baptist Assocation.

CP Missions supports the work of over 10,000 foreign and home missionaries reaching out to more than 1,170 different people groups through the work of the International Missions Board and the North American Missions Board.  CP Missions also support the six Southern Baptist seminaries located throughout the United States, which educates over 16,000 pastors, missionaries, and other church leaders each year.  The CP also supports the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which is dedicated to addressing the social, moral, and ethical concerns that impact American families and their faith.

The CP is just one way Southern Baptist churches can partner together in the support of missions.

In addition to the CP, SSBC gives monthly to help support the work of the Hispanic Church in Sublette, as well as other part-time pastors throughout western Kansas.

Short-term Trips

Our church desires to be an Acts 1:8 church; a church that reaches out to its Jerusalem (city), Judea (State), Samaria (North America), and even to the remotest part of the earth (overseas).

We are always striving to reach out and serve those in our community through our "GO Sundays / Efforts". Moving beyond Sublette, our church has made a commitment to be intentional about reaching out to each region represented in the Acts 1:8 challenge.

“GO” Sundays / Efforts

GO Sundays and Efforts are regularly scheduled efforts throughout the year that focus on serving those in our community. These efforts are often scheduled on Sundays to show just how much we value reaching out and serving. When that occurs, we will cancel our regular services and go out into the community with only one goal in mind: serve others.

Service opportunities in the past have included picking up trash, washing windshields, handing out bottles of water, painting houses, landscaping, and bagging groceries at the local store.  We are always keeping our eyes open for new ways to serve, so if you have an idea let us know!
