I am a husband, father, and follower of Jesus Christ.  I love my family more than you could possibly imagine.  My wife is the best and I married way above my head.  I have no problem admitting that!  My sons are full of life and few things fuel my spirit like they do.  I also love God’s heart, God’s Word, and God’s people!  I can’t imagine a more rewarding way to spend my life than pouring into the riches of His grace and getting to share that with others. As such, I have both the privilege and honor to serve as the Pastor here at Sublette Southern Baptist Church.

My life and testimony can be summarized in two chapters.  Chapter 1 is pre-Jesus and it stinks!  Chapter 2 is post-Jesus and it’s THE BEST!

I also enjoy Cincinnati Reds baseball, reading, learning, Cincinnati Reds baseball, movies, sports, Cincinnati Reds baseball, being outdoors, fishing and exercising. Did I mention Cincinnati Reds baseball!

The best place to start any story is at the beginning, mine is no different.  I began my walk with Christ when I was 9, okay, who am I trying to fool. Let me start over.  I began my crawl, following Christ when I was 9. It was just that, a crawl.  I did not grow in my faith much at all until my early twenties. I was active in church since I was born, but I did not understand, why.  By the time I understood why I should walk with Christ daily, I already had "My Plans" in place for my life. God must laugh every time we say "My Plans". His plan for my life was much different and much better  than my plans. God developed a passion within me to reach students with the Gospel and make disciples of them. So that is now my focus and God's plan for my life.

I was a full-time farmer in Kentucky. I was born and raised there and will always love the area where I was from. But the only place I call home is where God places me. My wife is from Kansas. She is a tremendous help in all that I do! I always promised her if I ever quit farming, I would consider moving to Kansas. We honestly never thought that I would ever quit. Who does that anyway?! So we knew it was totally a God-thing when we were called to Sublette, Kansas to serve HIM.

My interests range from playing sports, watching movies, skiing, welding, wood working, horseback riding, and just plain goofin' around!
